Hello. I intend on starting a new podcast, and would like to get a new mic (also for recording reviews, etc).  The main issue is that I have almost zero desk space, and I have others in the house, so background noise becomes an issue.  I also am budgeted, with the price needing to be around 50 dollars or less.  I know I will need a mic stand (clamp) to fit it (overhead).  What mic should I get?  I have heard that cardioid condensers are bad w/ background noise, so I assume a dynamic mic would be best.  Thanks! Help is appreciated.

@chris30257 -

One of these:

1) Blue Yeti

2) Audio-Technica ATH2020

3) Blue Snowball

In that order. The Snowball by Blue is ~$50, and the others are both in the ~$100 mark.

As far as a stand - Just go on Amazon and search: Articulating Microphone Stand - Nothing special here, you can get a cheap good one.

Well, the stand is not included in my budget.  And does the Snowball pick up too much noise? this is already my primary option.  Also, could I scissor arm it over my head? Is it compatible in that sense?  And would it need a pop filter? Or is the mic itself pretty good about that, especially overhead?

EWven if it is sketchy, I'm probably gonna go with it, unless you think this would be fine.  I have a ledge just above my monitor for it.
