  1. Hello LTT Forums! I just got ahold of the Senn HAD 598Cs and would like to use them for gaming. I know about the modmic, but like the approach of the V-Moda BoomPro more. Is there an alternative that works with Sennheisers 2.5mm input jack on the cans? Thanks, Hill
  2. It's fine. Don't worry about it. Back when the M-X series was released, I did some research and decided against them, due to lack of extended comfort.. This is one of my favorite things about Sennheiser. In the end, I will most likely grab the 439s off Amazon, try them out, and return them if they feel too cheap.
  3. These look like pretty good headphones. I may give them a shot. The design is different than I'm used to (they seem like a mix between ATH-Mx and the Monoprice cheapies everyone raves about), and they don't look incredibly comfortable, but I will consider them. They definitely look rugged ad durable, so that they'll be able to handle some good use. Thank you very much for the suggestion. One more thing, the cups don't look very deep, and I prefer my headphone cups to be deep. Is this just a perception thing, or are they shallow?
  4. I am 100% aware of this. But only a select couple of models have the same cans as the PC 350's. Sennheiser has many many other headphones with different cans and designs as well. I'm also not just searching for the headphones on the site. Headphones no longer listed on the site that are still offered on amazon etc are welcome suggestions.
  5. I actually would prefer to have headphones that don't look the same as the PC 350's. I kinda want to change up the design. Also, I forgot to mention, I would like to be able to push the right can off my ear from time to time and still have the headphones sit comfortably on my head.
  6. Hello everyone, I'm looking for a pair of headphones under 200 (and preferably under 100). These are my criteria ranked from highest to lowest. 1) Comfortabilty: I wear my headphones for incredibly long lengths of times, and this is #1 priority. 2) Build quality/Sound quality: I consider these two equal on my priorities list. I want them to sound good, but I also cannot have them feeling loose or weak. This does NOT include design! 3) Aesthetics: I don't want the headphones to look horrible. Enough said. 4) Price: Aforementioned price range. Specifics: Fit: I'm picky with headphones, very picky. In fact, I wear almost exclusively Sennheiser because every single pair of headphones I have worn by them fit great. I dislike high clamp-force, and weight on the jaw/cheek bone. Sound Quality: I listen to Alternative rock, heavy rock, and some alt-metal. Comfort: Velour is almost a must. I know I can mod most headphones, but I would prefer them to come pre-installed w/ velour. Build: If it feels to light or weak, I don't want them to fall of in public. Metal is NOT a must, although a 100% plastic build may feel too cheap. On top of all this, THEY MUST BE CLOSED-ACOUSTIC. Like I mentioned before, I will be wearing these in public spaces. Thank you all for your suggestions. I am particularly looking at the Sennheiser HD 439s. What do you think of them? If you own them, give me your impressions. I am currently wearing Sennheiser PC 350s, but have desktop mic and no longer need the mic on the set, plus I don't want to wear those in public. EDIT: Also, I forgot to mention, I would like to be able to push the right can off my ear from time to time and still have the headphones sit comfortably on my head.
  7. EWven if it is sketchy, I'm probably gonna go with it, unless you think this would be fine. I have a ledge just above my monitor for it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/400713932923?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l4449&_trkparms=gh1g%3DI400713932923.N2.S1.M3225.R3.TR7
  8. So would this work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Microphone-Suspension-Boom-Scissor-Arm-Stand-Shock-Mount-Filter-Mask-Shield-ESY1-/111348250534?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item19ecdf77a6 Type 3
  9. Also, I can get a good cheap scissor arm suspension mic stand on eBay for under 20 so... Yeah. And would a shock mount be necessary?
  10. Well, the stand is not included in my budget. And does the Snowball pick up too much noise? this is already my primary option. Also, could I scissor arm it over my head? Is it compatible in that sense? And would it need a pop filter? Or is the mic itself pretty good about that, especially overhead?
  11. Hello. I intend on starting a new podcast, and would like to get a new mic (also for recording reviews, etc). The main issue is that I have almost zero desk space, and I have others in the house, so background noise becomes an issue. I also am budgeted, with the price needing to be around 50 dollars or less. I know I will need a mic stand (clamp) to fit it (overhead). What mic should I get? I have heard that cardioid condensers are bad w/ background noise, so I assume a dynamic mic would be best. Thanks! Help is appreciated.
