I know i should probably be able to figure it out on my own but im a bit dumb.
i've been experiencing similar crashes in almost every single game, so i dont think its specific to this game
i think figuring out what this error means could help fix the problem as a whole
any help is appreciated.
thanks

Those kind of errors are not that helpful (at least, not to me), since they're just telling you what you already know (it crashed).

If you suspect instability I'd try running apps that can test your hardware like memtest (for memory) and something like OCCT for CPU.

It's a fairly general error, usually a "the file we tried to use had an issue" kind of deal.

In this case it would appear to be "Unity player.dll" which according to Unity contains the Game engine code.

Would suggest verifying file integrity, then drivers for GPU, then move onto component stability.

like he said try verifying the game, but also one thing i suggest trying is going into CMD as admin, and type sfc /scannow and click enter, let it do its thing probably wont take time. if all this doesnt work try using DDU to uninstall your GPU driver and then reinstall it. Also if you have any type of OC even XMP trying turning them off/resetting them to stock settings and see if that helps, sometimes an OC can be unstable and cause crashes/weird errors. Another thing is to download all microsoft runtimes, most likely it isnt the issue here but might as well try it. What are your specs btw?

thats a shame. i thought it might actually  be helpful. thank you both though, if you get the notification for this (idk how the notifications work)
i think its the cpu, i'll look more into it later.
edit: all three of you, that third reply didnt appear until i sent this
i did reinstall windows and it didnt help so its definitely hardware related
