Budget (including currency): $1000

Country: usa

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: most AAA games and random others

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): this is my current set up https://pcpartpicker.com/list/syn8pH

These parts are what I am looking to upgrade https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kFpFZJ

What i am hoping to get with these parts are to be able to play just about any games at 1080p 60fps. I know some of these parts might be overkill. I am hoping that these parts will serve me well for atleast 5 years. The wifi on the mother board isn't required but, I live in a rural area with old cat 5e cabling. I would like to see if the wifi would help with downloads and connectivity on some games.

I like those parts!  That will be a great upgrade for your system.

The ''Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5 CPU Cooler'' is a bit expensive and you can get cheaper coolers like the Peerless Assassin SE120 if you want to save a little bit of money.  In my opinion, the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 5 does look a lot better 🙂

I actually have the Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI with my own 7700x system and its been rock solid without any issues.

I do recommend updating the BIOS as soon as possible when you get the 7800X3D installed.  You can also update the BIOS without anything installed with the BIOS flashback button at the back of the motherboard, you just need motherboard power and CPU power connectors connected, no need for CPU, RAM etc.

I wanted to go with the dark rock pro because of how big it is. I want to be able to keep the cpu as cool as I can. Only problem is the 7800X3D is out of stock everywhere. Is it worth it to wait?

the 7800x3d uses around 90W so it's a kids game to cool it with the dark rock pro

Its a great cooler.  The Peerless Assassin SE 120 will do the same job at half the price though.

I do like the look of the Dark Rock Pro 5 a lot more 🙂

Depends on how quick you want your computer.

We dont really know when the 7800X3D will be in stock and we don't know exactly when the 9800X3D is to release ( sometimes late october is the rumors )

Maybe you would be fine with going with a Ryzen 7700X?

its just sliightly slower, this is with a 4090 at 1080p. So at 1440p the difference would be less.

I am glad to hear that. That is why I went for it? I would rather have something overkill, rather than using something that is just strong enough

I don't plan on overclocking it. I would like to give it all the cooling it could need. I am keeping my eye on when it will be back in stock. The only thing I wonder about is the motherboard is way overkill. I am hoping to upgrade the cpu over time, so I would rather have a board that can handle just about anything

The Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard is plenty enough for the 7800X3D, 9800X3D or any upcoming AM5 CPU.

I use it myself and I plan on buying the 9800X3D or 10800X3D if Zen 6 comes to AM5.

I wouldn't say its way overkill, its a great board and you can upgrade your CPU over time without problems 🙂

The Peerless Assassin SE120 will perform equal to the Dark Rock Pro 5.

I personally use an NH-D15 on my 7700x and I have a constant set fan curve or just 20%. Keeps it cool enough and my system is quiet.

Nothing wrong with the Dark Rock Pro 5, it will last you a long time 🙂

Do you think the Peerless Assassin will mount better? I am aware that some people have had issues mounting the dark rock pro 5

I have personally used the PA120 with the AM5 socket and it mounts easily.

My NH-D15 was easy to mount as well.

I dont see why the Dark Rock Pro 5 would be too much of a struggle, I DO know that the Dark Rock Pro 4 was more difficult to mount than other coolers but people managed 🙂
