A lot of ram has both overclocking profiles loaded (XMP & EXPO) nowadays, but if it does not and you use AMD EXPO on Intel motherboards, the result is more unpredictable.

 

I'd recommend updating your BIOS if you're running an old one, since many of the entries mention "improve memory compatibility" or similar.

 

If you're happy to run at whatever it boots at (i.e. without enabling XMP/EXPO), then there should be no problem.

 

Returning it for something with XMP and on the QVL is the 'safe' option.
