What size monitor (including resolution) do you plan to use?

Which of those two games do you have the problem?

What is your budget?

I appreciate your response its been bugging my mind and overthinking the problem possibly

I don’t know if it would be worthwhile upgrading for what bonus boost will I have if a game like cities skylines or skyrim game engine suffers then its programming

I want a 4 k tv screen 55 inch my budget will apply to about 3000 usd or 2000 usd

would compare it to my msi pulse gl 66 gaming laptop I bought in 2021

would I be able to just get another gaming laptop like a alienware ? 12 gb gpu or 16 gb but those are expensive so opting for pc again for its only for some games

From what I can see, the highest spec for that is a 3060 6GB mobile? A 4070 non-Super is over twice as fast, according to TPU's GPU database here.

Cities Skylines 2 is a hard game to recommend anything for. If I recall correctly, the video I saw on YouTube from Gamers Nexus said it was so badly optimised to be near unplayable. I don't know what improvements have been made since then?

About Skyrim, from what I'm aware, modded Skyrim can be very demanding on the CPU and the graphics card, whereas unmodded Skyrim tends to rely on single core/thread performance.

4K is not easy to run, so you'd need to eat most of that budget.

You can step down to a card not really intended for 4K and make most games playable, but not something I'd recommend for the longer-term:

An example 4K build:

I couldn't include the 7800X3D in your build. Due to poor availability, it was priced at $500+, which I don't consider worth buying.

I'm not very knowledgeable about laptops, but I think a gaming laptop capable of running games at 4K would be very expensive and get very hot.
