Plex HDR issue

I have a LG 65UN8500pu TV that I use for my main movie watching and living room PC gaming.  Plex is on a dedicated server on the network.  My issue is HDR movies work fine on plex when watched through the PC but are too dark when viewed through the Plex TV app.  Any thoughts?  Plex server is a Ryzen 3600x with a GTX 1070 and 16GB RAM.  Any thoughts?

I'd consider simply not using HDR content at all on that TV, its really not good at it at all. Pretty bad, even. 

 

Not to mention the very poor contrast and complete lack of local dimming. If what you're seeing is all you've ever seen regarding HDR, i'm sorry to say but it isn't.
