RAM errors with AMD setup (HELP please)

is it possible that both RAM sticks are faulty?

Yes.

There are a few caveats I can think of (to identifying faulty memory):

1. If the stick is running at an XMP/EXPO speed that your CPU can't support (does not apply to you, 5200 is stock for a 7600X and you tried 4800 too).

2. If there's an issue with the slot and/or memory channel.

3. Not running memory in the slots recommended in the manual

also, do you think if I showed them the MemTest report with errors, is that a valid reason for return?

Yes.

Hi,

My cousin built my PC at the beginning of this year 2024, and I keep getting BSOD in games or even in simple software like office while doing my school homework. I can’t complete a session without getting BSOD!

I checked the ram lately through MemTest86. And it turns out it is the one giving me all the trouble!

My ram sticks are DDR5 from Corsair (2x16GB) on motherboard ASUS Prime B650M-K,

I thought I should buy a new pair of rams because mine are designed for Intel motherboards with XMP profiles, but I checked compatibility for ram on the motherboard support website and it is listed there. So, it should not be a compatibility issue, right?

Back to memory tests with MemTest86, I started the test with both rams and the default speed 4800MT/s, after around 20 mins (still in phase 1/4) there were more than 2000 errors. I cancelled the test, left only one ram stick, started the test again and had more than 1000 errors after only 15 mins.

Next I went to bios and changed the ram speed to 5200MT/s, did the test with one stick and got the same results. I repeated the test with the other stick and had errors too.

I don’t know what else I can do.  We don’t have a good PC workshop in my city and would appreciate any help to fix my issue.

My build is:

Memory: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 DRAM 5200MT/s (SKU: MH32GX5M2B5200C40)

Motherboard: ASUS Prime B650M-K (Link)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X

GPU: Nvidia RTX 3050

Power: CORSAIR CV650

PS: Bios is updated to the latest version.

I uploaded some images from MemTest showing errors in this Link here

It sounds like your RAM is just faulty and needs to be returned.

Its also highly recommended to use 6000MT CL30, especially when it comes to Corsair.

ASUS B650E-F GAMING WIFI + R7 7800X3D + 2x Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30-36-36-76  + ASUS RTX 4090 TUF Gaming OC

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) Backup: GL.iNet GL-X3000/ Spitz AX Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz) WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz)
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~1200Mbit down, 115Mbit up, variable)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7

is it possible that both RAM sticks are faulty? cause I tested them separately and both gave errors.

also, do you think if I showed them the MemTest report with errors, is that a valid reason for return?
