Modern browsers are hardware accelerated, meaning that they use your graphics card to handle animations, video decoding, and generally anything that displays on your screen. I don't know what specifically YouTube might be doing that uses 3D acceleration, but I wouldn't find it particularly surprising if something did.

but i did turn off the hardware accelerator but It didn't do anything.
