What are the requirements for the Monitor?

Low latency for gaming? Color accuracy for creative works? HDR?

Feel free: To ask any question, no matter what question it is, I will try to answer. I know a lot about PCs but not everything.

current PC:

Ryzen 5 5600 |16GB DDR4 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti [further details on my profile]

PC configs I used before:

  1. Pentium G4500 | 4GB/8GB DDR4 2133Mhz | H110 | GTX 1050
  2. Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz / OC:4Ghz | 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz / 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1050

colour accuracy mainly but its also going to be used for gaming.

you don't need crazy color accuracy for gaming, because it's expensive,

either way, if you copy the code numbers of Monitor, you can look for reviews of the monitor,

easiest way is to find out if the monitor has review on RTINGS website,

for example, I was able to find the MSI's older version,

your options have MAG 274QRF QD E2, I found Optix MAG274QRF-QD (it's missing the E2 which could mean whatever but most importantly these monitors should be quite similar)

I also from, this list:

I was able to find RTINGS review on 90% monitors that have review on pcpartpicker,

one or two monitors had proper YouTube review instead of RTINGS review that still used sensors,

feel free to go through that list,

and it's as simple as doing this:

pasting it in google and writing review behind it:

finding something that goes deep:

and then ruling it out immediately in terms of gaming performance because of these 2 values:

I found these 2 to have decent stats on the reviews, but feel free to check out other reviews of other monitors you find:

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/gigabyte/m27q-x

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/msi/optix-mag274qrf-qd

This is Gigabyte M27Q X max response time at Balanced overdrive setting:

  • Notice how Gigabyte's worst 10% First/Total response times, are as fast as ASUS's Average response time

If you have further questions let me know.
