SSD controllers

With so many new SSD controllers out there, I was hoping somebody could clear up which ones work best for which applications. For example are sandforce drives better for gaming, or are they better for video editing? What is the best application for one of samsung's MDX drives. Is there even a difference? I hope clearing up the controller differences will answer a lot of people's questions.
