Looking at a system that has had motherboard & memory replaced.

On the gigabyte mb:

-only works with one stick, but it boots & works

-Second stick: nothing

on the MSI MB:

if only one ram stick is present. I get the press F1 to enter boot (if I reset the bios first using the jumper)

pressing F1 just blanks the screen: no bios access?

If I add the second stick it gives a dram & CPU error light.

-CPU is a is a ryzen 7700x.

-Gigabyte B650 aorus elite AX

- MSI b650 gaming  wifi

I had a hard time believing the cpu was the problem (hence the ram & MB replacement) I guess I ran out of options?

Is there anything I can try before I bite the bullet and order a new CPU? (or try and RMA it)

I tried every combo of memory sticks at this point (only one, 2, 2 nut in alternate slots etc..)

thx

Jo
