CD key sites like G2A always seemed a bit dodgy to me, despite people like JackFrags promoting them. Are they really ok, or should I stay away from them and pay more for games, Windows keys, etc?

Thing is, it's like a £60 premium for a definitely legit copy of Windows. That £75 really does dig into your budget.

No problems here I have purchased many games from them and the community members. I also know a friend who purchased a windows key from them no problems there either.

I might try it out then, it's not like I really care about supporting Microsoft.

If you buy from a community member and get G2A shield you are guaranteed to get the code.

I bought Borderlands GOTY Edition off them the other day.
Within 5 minutes had the steam key and redeemed fine on steam so all good in my opinion.

Another option is Kinguin which I've used many times, they have a buyer protection system so if anything goes wrong, you get your money back.

Auctions scare me :P And they don't have Windows, right now at least, which is really what I'd use these sites for (I didn't make this clear in the OP)

They spam a LOT.

That's not really a problem for me, I've got a seperate email address for signing up for stuff like this :)

I guess it's probably not a big deal then. Both you and @Coombzy said they were alright, so I'll probably just go for it.

No, I mean they are major spammers that use bots and puppet accounts to advertise on forums

and message boards under stories and such.

Don't support spammers.
