Hey im new to the forums and to overclocking. Reason for overclocking: I am currently trying to play DayZ and im just trying to get a little more FPS in cities. So anyways let me get into my rig. (btw im not sure if im posting on the right section if not please point me in the right direction, Thank you)

GOAL: 4.2GHz or higher

MoBo: MSI 970A-G46 ( I've been reading and yes I know the mosfet cooling isn't the best. I do have fans blowing directly at it trying to cool it down. please look at the pictures. I am not familiar with what TMPIN0, TMPIN1 and TMPIN2 are.)

CPU: AMD FX 6300 @ 3.5GHz

RAM: 8GB

PSU: 550W

I'm not sure what else you need to help me out. So please if you need anymore info let me know.

Go into the BIOS and increase the multiplier a little, confirm stability, shut down, increase it again, and repeat until it gets unstable. At that point, bump voltages up an eentsy little bit.

Take my advice with a truckload of salt, the only CPU I overclocked was a Pentium P55C MMX 233.

Temps are fine but the voltage it quite low. What do you have it set to in the bios? Does your board have LLC(Load Line Calibration)?

I would set LLC to high or very high. Set voltage to 1.300. Set Multi to 20. That will get you to 4GHZ but you should test it for stability and temp before going higher with either voltage or multi.
