I just installed w10 on my new pc.

I installed Google drive via ninite on drive I ( or at least cache is on I)

Google drive causes a loss of 1300 points in cinebench r20. Makes the explorer freeze. Causes my c Drive to heat up and freeze.

Also causes steam downloads to stop.

I tried reinstalling it and no luck. As soon as I close or pause drive it's all fine. Although haven't tried gaming yet

How can I solve this?

Also would I see less issues with w11 with this new hardware or it doesn't matter? It's a b650 board with a 7800x

This seems like a bug in the software to me. Can you not use the web version?

I have a folder that syncs automatically. I also sync the docs folder.

I like it this way to ensure the data is always backed up

to be honest you should back up locally... you can't trust google to not fuck you over.

I wanna set up a Nas when hexos launches

From their website, they are teaching you how to set up a NAS with TrueNAS software. You can do that easily without HexOS or simply purchase a hardware NAS. There are affordable solutions out there and even the slowest NAS are way faster than your link to Google servers.

My Nas would be at my parents house so it's off site so it would be quite slow.

Either way having just spent money on the pc upgrade I do t have the cash for a Nas. So i have to wait.

Also an update. I fixed Google drive by limiting its cache size to 100gb and bandwidth to 100mbps (total available is 300mbps). System is working fine now. All the problems seem to be gone.
