I7 5960x On CPU-Z [Yeah beware WCCF]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't CPU-Z list the package as "Socket 2011-3 LGA?"

Why quote WCCF when you can just mention the actual, reliable source as I did in another thread?

But I thought it was a paint job by WCCF when the actual image is sourced by Coolaler Forums?

wth intel? Why isnt the 5930k 8core aswell? >.<

at least the 5820 is 6core now.

It's the same thing they did when they brought out 6 cores, only the extreme editions had it.

Yes, next time OP should mention the source since they are more reliable even if WCCF posts the exact same thing they report.

No, I want the OP to quote the ACTUAL SOURCE and not someone who is just gathering info from other places and sharing it for clicks.

Clicks? We have a decent following and they want the news hence we provide them feom various sources. The actual sources are always mentioned in the article. Click bait sites don't bother mentioning the prime sources.

But im just a regular member here, will follow anything you guys think better and on a serious note, even I would like the original sources to be mentioned for any news.

I think Intel has pretty much not innovated the core count. Ivy bridge-E should've had the 4960X as a 8C/16T but nope, this 5960X either been a 10C or 12C. But there is definitely an 12 Core coming that isn't a E5 Xeon variant.

To stay within their thermal limits it's hard to introduce an additional 2 cores to a processor that already has a 130W TDP, which Intel doesn't want to push.

To keep temperature and thermals down, you need to decrease overall power consumption, which was one of the biggest advantages of going from Ivy to Haswell. It also explains the low base clock, since reducing frequency will cut power consumption.

Also, the temps this processor sees will increase faster than other CPUs as frequencies are pushed through overclocking thanks to the additional cores. With water cooling this won't be an issue, which is why the extreme edition is actually exciting this time around.

Then I am glad we are in agreement here. I got nothing against you doing business the way you do but if you really want to convince anyone you guys are not a rumour mill, then get some industry sources of your own. You have enough of a social media following and a website with enough traffic. I am sure you are trying to be legit but you don't have a single article recently that isn't a baseless rumour or one that has an actual source that isn't in itself reporting news.

Dude can you do that with my face on it? I would give you 5 dollars.

It's not that I'm not listening or saying I won't understand it from their view is but come on! :( You gotta push every generation to be a little better then before (not gonna write you should agree/disagree but it should be an improvement.)  Guessing you read the bit where I wrote 3.0Ghz based to ? Ghz turbo boost.
