Other details: Wondering if anyone could help me determine if the Asus ROG STRIX Z690-I GAMING WIFI Mini ITX LGA1700 Motherboard would fit a Alpenfohn Black Ridge cooler? I am building in a small footprint case. Thanks!

Cooler sizes vs boards are standardized, what can make a cooler not fit are RAM sticks height and case width

After checking reddit there are plenty of boards that don't support the ''Alpenfohn Black Ridge'' where people had to remove VRM heatsinks etc.

Ok, that's a pretty weirdly designed cooler then, my bad didn't know about it

Thanks, yeah it is tricky. I did find this Reddit users experience 

perhaps if I use a top mount fan instead of the included bottom mount fan it might fit?

Oops, also found this experience, but again maybe a top mount fan would fix the issue…

The size might be small footprint, but the price footprint probably won't be.

that's a decently powerful CPU, though you just might barely be able to cool it based on your use case
