Got myself a Beyerdynamic mmx300 but the mic boom is loose/falling from the swivel plastic part, it’s not even glued in. It’s about 6 month old and they ask me to pay to ship to get it repaired. I think it’s bad consumer support. And bad quality for it to become loose/falling after on 6 month of casual use. Anyway I was thinking of just gluing the boom back and selling it. Is there any other good headset in the 300/400 cad range with a mic that swivel and is not the style of the Beyerdynamic? I am looking more for a swivel system more like a Logitech where the boom is the same part as the swivel. And don’t want a retractable one. Maybe a mic that is integrated to the earcup could do too if the quality is good.

thanks in advance.

Audeze Maxwell is the only headset that's really worth buying imo, detachable mic, sound absolutely fantastic, 80 hours battery life and a surprisingly large amount of adjustable features. The mic isn't the style you're looking for but detachable is better for durability (if mic breaks you can swap out rather than ship to manufacturer)

I haven't tried the Beoplay Portal but Bang and Olufsen headphones have never impressed me, i have tried the Corsair HS80 and despite being built well they sound terrible, no detail or imaging, you're gonna have the same story for pretty much all headsets out there i'm afraid

I got the same headset so wanted to mention it. Sucks to have that issue. Wished it was detachable though. How much would shipping be, was it in warranty, curious.

Audaze Maxwell are good but cost more. Can check Hardware Canucks for headset comparisons if you are not going to repair MMX 300.

Yes they are under warranty, didn’t check for cost of shipping yet, kinda sad about that, it’s not like they don’t have margin, they probably cost 150 cad of labor and material to build and they can’t even pay for shipping to and from. I would understand if it was 1year old or more. Also the location for repair of Beyerdynamic in the us is some random rural street. Don’t really trust. Anyway some glue will do the job and I will use them until a hardware piece fail (mic or speakers).
