PC wont power on

Go to solution Solved by AAVVIronAlex,

If you have multiple sticks of ram, remove them. Try booting with one, if that does not fix it try booting with none and then add the stick back. Make sure you are putting the stick into the RAM slot 0.

As for the system not booting, that could be because you are forcing legacy boot (although not likely), or you might be forcing UEFI boot on a legacy device.

I have a older computer that I put together for my brother but for some reason, it simply does not want to boot into OS. The drive works just fine on other systems. Whenever I turn the PC on it goes directly to "Reboot and select proper boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key." Inserting a usb drive with windows doesnt work and I can't get it to get into the bios. I tried to fix this by removing the cmos battery. After doing so, the computer will not power on. How can I fix this? The main specs are: 5820K, asrock extreme 4 x99 motherboard, gtx 1070, seasonic focus +gold 650w psu

Tried the ram stick thing and it still doesn't work. I might just buy a new motherboard.

Old boards like those (as far as I know) might not have the best support for NVME, I would suggest updating the BIOS, that is if you have guaranteed that there will be no outages around your place or your motherboard supports BIOS flashback.
