Upgrade Recommendations

Hi so I recently upgraded my GPU to 4080 super from my 3070 ti and i want to upgraded my cpu and i dont know if just upgrade the cpu if there is one that works with the GPU without bottleneck or just upgrade to AM5 and change the mobo  Knowing i have 170hz 2k Monitor and a 4k 60hz  my pc specs is 

Case: Cooler Master Cosmos c700p

Mainboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x

GPU: 4080s 

RAM: 32GB 3600MHz 

PSU: 850W corsair RM850x 

What is your recommendation

I don't want to spend more than 300/400 $

I don't want to spend more than 300/400 $

You are not going to get an AM5 platform swap within your budget as you need DDR5 RAM as well.

 

You should upgrade to the 5700X3D or the 5800X3D and call it a day 🙂

Ryzen 5800X3D, eventually the 5700X3D. You'll still have a bit of a bottleneck, but not terrible.
