Need help for raid 1 errors

I need help on my raid 1 how do you guys fix this? I tried to remove the mirror and merge the disk I also tried the 'reactive disk' it will resync until 48% then it will not finish and the errors will pop out it is a faulty hard disk should I replace 1 disk or could I still use it? thanks!

The short answer is yes, you have faulty disk that can’t work in array ( windows mirror? it’s not raid 1 )  so what will you do with it? 
 

did you create the mirror in disk management? Or storage spaces? or other software?

 

the long answer, as tkich said, run "Crystal Disk Info" and post a screenshot with all drives with full SMART tables.

well, that drive is fucked.  needs to be replaced.

 

Yes, something is running your RAID Array.  Drives don't magically turn into a RAID because they're plugged in.

 

What is running your RAID Array?

The drive have 16 pending sectors, that means the surface have problems.

 

you could remap them, but the degradation of surface will probably continue to worsen and the problems will keep repeating. 
 

I would first do a zeroing of it, and then a write pattern, to see if the surface recovered ( without remap ). 
 

only if that fails ( and pending sectors remain ) would do a remap, but would probably not use that drive in that array, and use it as secondary backup only, with refs file system on it. 
 

ps. Remember mirror is not a backup, do a backup…
