I’ve had my card since like december and I’ve been dealing with a really dumb and small issue that happens like once a day.

I’ll be playing any game doesn’t matter and on discord with my homies just talking and the card will just like freeze for 3 seconds. Then all my audio inputs are resorted to default and I have to change them fast so I can hear friends again for callouts.

I have updated every driver I could find and I kinda was coping with it until I lost a ranked game because of it. I’ve tried sfc, dism, uninstalling nvidia drivers ect. Even thought it could be my cpu but I have found nothing to fix it at all. Tried going back to default clock speeds to but even before the overclock it did the same thing.

5950x

Msi 4080 Ventus OC edition

MotherB: Msi 570x edge max wifi

128gb G skill 3600 hz

1200w power supply

no over heating issues either on anything. Really hope someone has a fix because I have called nvidia, amd, and msi

nvidia was no help at all like so for real

amd said definitely graphics issue which i assumed

msi said most I can do is send it in and hope they can recreate the issue or to test on another of my pcs but none of them can run this card with the amount of power it needs

What USB devices do you use for sound (e.g. headphones, microphones) and how are they connected to the PC? Do they have custom software?

When the issue occurs, is there any entries in the event viewer relevant to your problem?

I haven’t seen anything in event viewer gonna check next time to double check

My microphone is ran through nvidia broadcast to clear out background noise

and my headset uses razer synapse  via wireless usb

Why do you think this is a graphical issue when your audio driver is breaking and returning to defaults?

I’m not the best person in terms of audio so tbh idk it’s just really odd it happens at the same time as when I get a graphical stutter

Yeah but the graphical stutter could be your system locking up and not your GPU , it's not impossible it's your GPU but we don't know yet.

Can you check windows event viewer and see if it says anything in there?
