Laptop recommendations

Need recommendations

Hi, i’m a highschool student going into graphic design. I don’t really know much if not anything about laptops but I need something that could run multiple programs (e.g. photoshop, illustrator, indesign). My budget is around 8-1K, any recommendations?

How urgently do you need the laptop?

I would just recommend pooling up as much money as you can until you can at least afford a $1400-$1500 refurbished 14" MacBook M1 Pro / M2 Pro. The high performance CPU, quiet operation, long battery life, and amazing color-accurate screens are worth the cost.

A MacBook Air would probably suffice too... but 8GB of RAM is a huge risk, and upgrading to 16GB just feels like a massive rip-off.

Otherwise,

Lenovo's Yoga laptops are generally pretty good. I recommend you try to shop around and look at Best Buy's Open-Box offers.
