Out of these four pre-builts, the two cyberpower PCs look the best. 3050s are eWaste and are not worth it if the build is over 400$.

Of course, every PC builder wants some margin of profit from their systems, and building your own would be cheaper. The one thing that stands out to me in the cyber powers is their infatuation with AIOs. This would probably give you more space if you built your own as you could sub out the AIO for a cheaper fan solution. You may be able to fit something like a 3060 ti or more in this budget after getting rid of the AIO.

Here's a rough start if you want to build it yourself,

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/BfWhfy

I was able to get you 32 GB of ram, along with a 7700 XT which performs mildly better than a 3060 ti, so quite an upgrade. The 5500 is also an upgrade, and comes with its own cooler, saving much more.

5500 is pretty bad for gaming due to cut down cache. R5 5600x destroys it. Also u can fit a 7800xt at the cost of 16gb of ram (which is a good tradeoff)

should perform miles better

This is a rough build I came up with unsure about the graphics card as I have seen the reviews on 4060ti and most say they aren't worth the price. Any suggestions?

A 4060 ti doesn't have great benchmarks compared to cards like a 3070 ti or 6800 so the price is not generally worth it if you can get one of the other two for less than like $400. However, a 4060 ti is MUCH better than a 3050. Basically, you could get better cards than the 4060 ti, but you should not buy a 3050 at all

For around a 400 pound price point, look for 7700 XTs or 7800 XTs. They're your best bet. They perform on par or even better than a 3070 ti and 3080 respectively. I use a 6900 XT for VR and it works great so don't be concerned about the AMD gpus.

*P.S. Both of the AMD cards outperform a 4060 ti by massive margins for around the same price.

Iirc Nvidia performs better for vr stuff (but for p/p it’s gotta be amd. If Nvidia priced stuff normally it would be chill, but they don’t.) 7800xt all the way 🙂
