So i was building a new computer again. ( for my sibling from old parts )

When i put the gpu inside ( Gtx 970 itx 4gb ) on my main computer i tested the gpu out all the temps are good and all but when i put gpu into the other motherboard it does.. nothing.

i see the fans spinning but display doesn't come .

any fixes to solve this?

-thanks

Since a different GPU gives the same result, it's likely either a motherboard or CPU issue.

i cant use iGPU its a i5 3470. CMOS reset, how?

Why can't you use the iGPU on the 3470? Does the board not have any display outs?

The motherboard manual should explain how to reset the CMOS, but a sure-fire method is to unplug the PC, remove the CMOS battery (a big watch battery located usually on the lower half of the board), try to power the PC on with the PC unplugged to drain power, leave it for 1 minute, then reinstall the CMOS battery and plug it back in.

Given that age of the CPU, that battery might be dead, which can sometimes result in a failure to post, so replacing it may be in order.

Will the PC at least boot if you don't install the graphics card? Or does it shut off again regardless?

Ideally, if you had a VGA cable and older monitor, you could try booting with a minimal configuration - just CPU, CPU cooler, and one stick of RAM. You can try that even without a display out, but it won't be able to show any potential error messages and you wouldn't be able to poke around in the BIOS.

This sounds like a CPU or motherboard issue based on the symptoms described so far. Reseating the CPU (also taking time to check the socket for bent pins and the pads in the CPU for corrosion) could be warranted here.
