Messed up BIOS

So my BIOS is really messed up when running through my AVR, and I dont know why. The AVR is a Onkyo TX-SR604 and the output from my computer goes straight through the AVR and then to the moniter. The BIOS is completely fine when I run just from my PC to the moniter. Its also worth noting that the BIOS gets more and more messed up as you try to click on more things. I have tried resetting the BIOS but that didn't work.

That looks like a movie version of electrical interference or something.  Odd, I would guess you're getting feedback of some kind.

 

Can you swap cables?

Sure give me like half an hour though, I am not at home

 

Any reason it would only happen on the BIOS and everything else would be fine?

Honestly, no.  I have no idea why it would be doing that.  Outside of interference, I can't think of a reason why the bios would get visible corrupted like that.

My first thought would be some weird resolution thing, since the BIOS usually only supports a handful of resolutions (I think MSI does 640x480, 1280x720, 1920x1080, and 2560x1440, but I likely am wrong). What my guess is happening is that it's defaulting to a resolution that the receiver does not like and thus is being slightly corrupted, in which case changing the BIOS resolution to not-HD should hopefully fix it. I forget where MSI has that setting in their BIOS, but it is somewhere in there. 

 

Other than that, I'm with @Dedayog, this issue is strange. It's probably not interference since then it would be in more places than just the BIOS, it has to be some sort of protocol incompatibility between the two.

Ok well its not as bad as the other issue and I can pretty easily get around it but thanks on your inputs
