Remote Desktop At Startup/Login Screen

i have a windows 7 machine (specs in signiture) and a windows xp machine both set to wake on lan. the windows xp machine runs server's and services of all sorts and even though it isnt running windows home server (not powerful enough) i have just ended up refering to it as a server. the server runs 24/7 and my windows 7 runs whenever i need it. i want to be able to turn on and remote my windows 7 machine even when it is completly off and i am 90% there but i am having problems.

this is how i want to do it.

1. remote to always on xp server (teamviewer) and send a wake on lan signal to windows 7 machine

2. wait for windows 7 machine to start up

3. while still connected to server, open windows remote desktop and connect to windows 7 machine while it is on the login/password screen so i can start it up and remote to it via teamviewer.

everything working but i can use windows remote desktop to login because for some reason it only works once the windows 7 machine has been logged in. i think it is because the service dose not start untill you log in.

i hope i have explained it well enough, i think i confused myself for a second there.

I've never had issues logging into a Machine via Remote Desktop Connection at startup, try checking your Remote Desktop Connection services in the Services Utility in Administrative Tools. Make sure they aren't set to the wrong user or disabled

I don't get the bolded part.

I do know that sometimes Remote Desktop service takes longer than the console login screen to start up, you have to keep trying or waiting. I've also had it not work at all. Also, how are you getting to the computer using Remote Desktop? Are you using the numeric IP address or computer name?

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.
