Just noticed, that while my PC was booting, there was a green screen with weird glitched Asus Logo, right before windows boot. But no issues on windows itself. But it's first time I noticed. I bought brand new 7900XT, few days ago, I have newest all drivers, like GPU, chipset, bios and all other drivers..

May be just some glitch, or there is something with GPU, or maybe motherboard itself ?

B550 Asus Gaming F

Gigabyte RX 7900XT (just used the same drivers as with 7800XT before upgrade)

32Gb Corsair Vengeance RT 3600 cl16

1Tb M.2 Gen 4

Seasonic P750 Platinum

Anyone had similar symptoms?

Probably fine, but might be a borked BIOS. Lotsa solar flare activity recently, this *can* cause problems

Oh my, never was aware of it, but it actually can make sens 😅.

But I guess it has nothing to do with random black screens for a 1-2sec, cuz it was there with my previous 7800XT, but not sure what that can be. Cuz it's not happening while gaming, just idle, or watching something.

How are you connecting your computer to monitor? Mine 7900XT can sometimes do "green glitch" while startup but I am on HDMI to TV. My previous RTX 3700Ti was doing similar things so I blame HDMI during handshake.

And your second problem (black screen) might be cables IF you are using subpar quality and/or long runs.

Yeah I have actually HDMi to TV, it's hisense U7 If I remember correctly, with HDMI 2.0, but few years ago, it got system update with VRR. The cable itself it's about 3 or 4 meters, some not the cheapest with 2.1 certificate.

I could try order some better one, but dunno if worth it 🙈

If the certificate is genuine, usually you can't get much better one. Maybe you can try shorter cable, but as the problem comes and goes randomly it will be pain in the a** to reproduce - as you said, probably not worth it.

Let's wait, maybe someone more knowledgeable than me join the discussion.

However I encountered black screen blanking myself in the past and it had two separate reasons:

1 - my electric installation was not very good and blanking could be reproduces when someone in the flat turned on an appliance such as electric kettle,

2 - my cables where operating at their limit, which was interesting because symptoms were like yours - no problem while gaming, only on the desktop. Then I realized that my GPU was not that good at the time, so on the desktop it was 4K 60Hz but in the games I usually turned it down to 1080P which was fine.

I checked what I bought exactly in 2023, and I think here is the issue 😅 6M when 5 is max supported, but also it's most likely not 2.1 and it's slow.Screenshot_20240612-053615.thumb.png.f78cdf7a21ca343b9a4ac59933013780.png

But it's still interesting that it's not happening when gaming, when supposedly should happening. I ordered 5M but 2.1 48Gbps certified, so it will be shorter and faster, if the issue will gone I will let know here.

I remember I had that as well with my 7800XT and I think with 4070 before, so or all GPUs I bought are broken, or it my be this exact HDMi doesn't work properly "sometimes only" in desktop with my TV, which is more likely 😅
