I just traded a 780 and $100 for two 290Xs (reference) that I will watercool. I have some overclocking questions. One is from Sapphire and the other is from MSI.

Is the voltage unlocked?

Will I want to flash a custom BIOS? If so, suggestions on which one to use would be appreciated.

Can I use Precision/Afterburner or do I need to use AMDs control panel thing?

More general OC info would be nice. This is my first AMD card lol. Thanks.

He had two so I asked what he wanted for the other one and he was like, "$100 and your card+WB and original cooler and stuff," so I have two now lol

That's what I think I'm going to do. I'll skip Devil's Canyon and Broadwell and just save up for a 4K monitor over the Summer, by then maybe a 4K IPS monitor will be around $500. Hopefully.

$340 but Australian eBay obviously and it is a giggy oc windforce.

Wow, nice. That's a really good price, especially for AUS lol

The two I got were fully reference. I'm tempted to run both on air and see if I can hit 100C lol
