Hey everyone, we’re back with a few things we wanted to follow up on this week.

Razer and Our Current Sponsors

We saw a couple posts this week regarding sponsors we don’t currently work with. This was something we knew would come up when we updated the posting guidelines. We spent a bit of time this week going over all the brands we work with to update the list, as well as trying to find a way to keep it up to date. 

One of the brands that did come up was Razer, a brand we haven’t worked with in a sponsorship capacity for some time. A forum member was having issues with Razer not honoring a warranty despite OP meeting the requested demands. Razer is a brand we are open to working with and do still have contact with. So we reached out to OP to get the chat history they had with Razer, and once Razer replies to our team we’ll see if they can assist with the warranty process.

 

VPNs

Recently, on The WAN Show, Linus and Luke discussed working with VPNs in a sponsorship capacity again. The segment can be found HERE. 

In short, the original concerns around why we stopped in the first place were primarily around misleading talking points. We are open to working with VPNs again, provided that our team’s talking points are accurate to what the VPN does. A lot of our team uses a VPN, and we’re aware a large portion of our audience does as well. Even when we stopped working with PIA, Linus and Luke still used it. When we choose not to work with a sponsor, it is because of customer support issues or something not working as advertised. PIA did not fall under these categories. 

I’d recommend watching the WAN Show segment for more context. But for those who didn’t watch the show, we figured it would also be worth parroting here.

There was a concern about the marketing behind the hydro-dip skins that dbrand offers for their phone cases not actually being hydro-dipped phone cases. At this point in time, we’ve shared the concern with dbrand.
