Constant CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT BSOD issues

I have been getting the same BSOD throughout the day and have tried basically everything I can think of outside of fresh windows install: Driver reinstalls, reseating, tests, etc. Dump files are as follows:

For some reason the performance monitor report would never complete even after waiting for hours.

  • 3 weeks later...

Aside from clearing CMOS you've done everything I can think of. The double booting fixing it points me to bad CPU mounting pressure or a bent pin, but you've got a PGA CPU there and unless you've really messed up the remount, it should have fixed this.
My guess at this point would be a dying mobo.

PS, Bluescreenview is a great tool for looking at BSOD dumps

It was also happening prior to the remount. I suspected similar, but I carefully inspected all of the pins and everything looked good...Temps don't seem out of the ordinary. Dying mobo would be such a pain in the ass 😞

Last thing I could think of with CPU could be possibly bits of thermal paste in there as my last mount had some of it spilling over on the edge but that seems a little farfetched.

Is your mobo in warranty? If so, I'd reach out to support and see about an RMA

I think it may have just ran out of warranty 😞 - My amazon history says it was purchased nearly exactly 3 years ago. I'll have to check with them for it. In the meantime, if there are other helpful suggestions please let me know. I'd hate to have to replace the whole mobo

Edit 1: Some more info that I’ve been testing: when I boot in safe mode, I do not get any BSODs. When I left safe mode, I got a windows recovery screen and then after the BSODs started again. Also, I got a screen asking to finish setting up Windows that included things like turning on onedrive, setting up phone link. I declined all those services. All drivers seem up to date.

Edit 2: I remembered now that I used this method to install windows 11 with a local account rather than microsoft account. Now when I check `ipconfig` in terminal it shows media disconnected for all adapters, however my internet seems to behaving fine? Not sure if related.

Edit 3: when I try to launch the terminal as an Admin the first time I get an error saying it's not installed, but when I launch it again it does seem to launch properly

I’m not sure if there’s some sort of software issue either @OddOod any thoughts?

Your mobo is having a conniption. Hit up customer support and see if they can help you. If not, you're kinda outta luck. Sorry.
