Help with first time build

Hi there! I'm planning on building my first PC soon which is very exciting, but the process of choosing all the parts has been a bit overwhelming. If anyone can look over what I've chosen so far and offer advice, I would greatly appreciate it! Questions are also welcome, thanks : )

Budget (including currency): Around $1400 CAD

Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming including Minecraft and The Sims franchise games with mods/shaders, light video editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm not super concerned about aesthetics, but I'd like a white case (on the small side since I don't have a lot of room). I'll be buying the parts within the next week. My main goal for the PC is to have the best performance for my budget and that it'll last me a good couple of years!

Look out for any deals,

it's a pretty decent list tbh.

Consider these parts, but you can go with yours, I included different case, PSU and SSD.

I included higher quality PSU and SSD, the case is up to you, I think the one I included should come with 3 pre-installed fans.

For SSD, look for either of the SSD that's included in the parametric filter, if your budget allows it, they're all great budget SSDs.

A 12 or even 10 phase board would be nice but that jumps the price by $100+ CAD hence the reason I dread posting Canadian builds.

yeah right, but isn't 7+1+1 decent? it's not an i9 build
