Need help getting my GPU out.

Not sure where this goes, but here we are.

I need help getting my GPU out of my motherboard. The backplate is wedged up against the latch and I can't get it to depress.

Pictures are attached.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Use a screwdriver to push it.

However, I wouldn't take the GPU out now. There's coolant in those lines and with them being hardlines they're also going to help keep the GPU in the motherboard, so they'll also need taken off.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I'd use a fork or a spoon, something that bend down so you can press.

Be careful of course. Don't stab your motherboard.

I second this as long as you are careful a screwdriver works great to disengage the lock on a PCIe slot, but as said here please, please, please drain the whole loop before removing. Failure to do so could result in your computer getting soaked in water which would become a very bad day.

Aight. Was hoping to not have to use something that could stab my mobo, but I'll give it a shot.

As for the tubes, they're soft tubes with compression fittings, and I'm draining everything and moving stuff to another case. Hence wanting to remove the GPU. Thanks for the warning, though.

Rule of thumb is if it crunches, its good. Just be deliberate in where youre aiming your screwdriver and you should be far more than fine.
