So i had Asus Tuf B660m plus D4,it ran perfectly on my system, and due to upgrading pc i've decided to sell it,and this morning i woke up to message of a guy that i sold it to,that it kept freezing for him,in bios,it cut him off in installation of w10 due to it ,when he installed it windows kept freezing, regardless was he doing something or not,usb ports not functioning as they are supposed to... The thing that bugs me the most is fact that we got near identical components,i had 12400f/he has 12400,and rtx 3060 from mine is msi,and his is gigabyte.Could this perhaps be bios issue,or the problem is deeper?

did he update the bios version

Well the bios version is 2801 if i remember right,i've told him to flash it just to try every single possibility, only one thing bothers me should he flash it to the latest version or flash it back to 1st edition of mobo bios?

If it’s not reporting integrated graphics I’d bet on it just needing cmos cleared. His specs are so close to yours that the bios likely thinks it’s the same computer.

Have the purchaser clear CMOS the proper way.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

He did, it persists still 😕 I swear everything was working like top notch,i even started pc in the morning before gently removing motherboard and cooler and afterwards packaging it,slid it into antistatic bag, positioned it as it was in box when it arrived first time and went to local post office myself and handed it over. Can bios really cause stuff like freezing on bios menu, then freezing again throughout win10 installation ,after it boots completely into windows, making usb devices not working, wifi connection not showing up,etc...

When a buyer starts with this stuff on a known working component they're usually one/two of: A. an idiot, B. looking for a refund,.. either way you have problems.

Problems like this could be anything, cooler not installed properly, incompatible memory, faulty SSD, terrible power supply, broken pins, thermal paste in the socket, who knows...

Yeah thats what worries me,if he fd up something and wants refund just based on a fact that motherboard is still under warranty, its just bs.He said he will send me videos later though,so i won't slate until i see socket of motherboard first

Did you record the number of the motherboard before you sent it? Another common scam is they want to return their broken motherboard and keep your working motherboard.

I suppose it is possible he has a genuine problem (and one that is not related to the motherboard), like a malfunctioning USB device (faulty wifi can cause all manner of mayhem), but does the marketplace even allow you to leave negative feedback for a buyer? (Ebay does not)

Hmm, okay, maybe he's real and just having problems.

We will see later on, when he sends me videos, but if i end up retaking board itself its gonna be such a drag,i will need to take it to local tech store, then if it persist there still i will have to contact store, send it again to a guy i've bought it from..Yikes yikes, just thinking about it has me tired 😂
