Hello,

I am just wondering if my gpu is at a safe temp while gaming. It normally averages around 85 - 89 degrees when gaming. Now I have repasted the gpu however it has just not gotten any cooler.

Now it is an asus rx 580 8gb and a dual card so I'm not so overly worried but I need this card to last me an extra 5 months and it has been with me for a while nearly everyday so it's been through what I say 'discomfort'. So my question is, is is this a safe temperature and last me a little longer. I've had it about 4 years and apparently gpu's only last 3-5 years so I'm worried is 85-89 degrees celsuis safe? (185-192 Fahrenheit)

Its warm and definitely in the upper level of comfortable.
Maybe you can set a more aggressive fan curve or have your side panel off while doing hard gaming.

The card should last you another 5 months even with such temperatures, that is not something I would worry too much about.

That should do the trick 🙂  A slight increase in fan speed can really do a lot!

I ran my own GTX 980Ti highly overclocked at 85-90c for around 5 years and it was still running well when I sold it.
