to the few people who know how this ancient machine works, please help.

 

This computer has as sat in a basement for many many years. 

 

it has rust all on the inside. The two photos are they only things i obviously see wrong with the board. The one chip is pretty corroded it seems. and the part where the battery was is completely ripped out.

 

The power supply hums, but when u hit on it does supply power. You can hear the hard drive spin and CRT monitor turn on. There is no signal on the monitor though. the hard drive usually gives up. There is also no iconic mac noise. The green LED on the front does turn on though. 

 

If anyone even know where to begin with this id appreciate it so so much. It seems very possible it is just dead. It could be capacitors, but my eyes arent great for that.
