M.2 slot not working

I decided to start building my pc yesterday, and I ran into an issue where my motherboard would not recognize the ssd in the first m.2 slot, but it would in the second slot. i already tried updating the bios. It’s a MSI B550-A PRO with a Crucial P3 SSD

I had a similar issue with my tomahawk, there was an BIOS update which disabled my M.2_2 slot, you might actually need to install an older BIOS, im currently running one from around october time last year and its working smoothly

unfortunately that did not help, i tried going into an okder version and it still doesnt want to show up

i was wondering about how big the difference is between the first and second slot so that i can just use the second slot

You wont notice the difference, its very minimal
