New earbuds :(

BiotechBen

Hey guys, I have misplaced one of my AKG n400 buds and have scoured my entire apartment with no success. Guess I'm in the market for new buds now. I've usually just gone with JBL since I know the quality and sound profile I like, but curious if there's something I'm missing out on.

Open to refurb, have yet to have a bad experience with refurb headphones.

Budget: $100

Types of music to listen to: EDM, pop, classic rock, classical,

Must haves:

-Good ANC (obnoxious neighbors downstairs)

-NOT shaped like air pods for the speaker (extremely painful for anything more than a few minutes with those types)

-good experience with android

-decent but not exceptional battery life

-clear bass

-no "fitment fins" (it would seem my ears are not shaped like most peoples? Again with the hurting after about 20min)

-IPX5

Nice to haves:

-custom Eq settings (anything in the 6k+ hz range is quite painful for me)

-IPX7/8

-remapable controls

Currently have a pair of certified refurb N400's and XM4's bookmarked at $79.99, wondering if those are just the way to go and be safe?

They DO have a find feature, but it only works if the case and buds are charged AND ACTIVELY PAIRED, which ended some time Friday night. I'll keep an eye out for it, but I have my doubts. And it's not like I can just use the left earbud because it'll only pair if both earbuds are in the case.

One upside is that I did find three other things I've been looking for.

Oh that stinks, atleast there is an upside to the story 🙂 . What about the Sony WF-C700N? (Atleas if they are on sale)

They look interesting for the price, but are exceptionally airpod shaped
