you should look out for the following.

 

Fan Capacity: How many fans can the hub support? This determines how expandable our cooling setup can be. Control Method: Manual knobs for direct control or software-based interfaces for more precise adjustments. Power Supply: Evaluate the power options, such as SATA or Molex.

Current setup: 

I7 6700

64gb 3200mhz DDR4 (4stick combi)

200w generic HP power supply

HP elitedesk 800 G2 case

HP proprietary Mobo.

sata can do about 4 amps worth so about 4 amps worth of fans. 99% of hubs wont tell you how much they can do and there basically a splitor that gets power from the psu. new fans these days use alot less power but you will need to look and add thows up.
