First Car help! I'm almost there.

Im not sure if this is allowed but I figured I'd give it a shot. Im 17 years old and a senior in higschool. I wish i had a sob story to tell but I dont. I work at a restaurant cleaning tables but unfourtantly that dosnt pay much. Ive been saving for months now and im so close to being able to afford my first car. I just got a job offer that will pay more and give more hours but my problem is its 15 miles away. And I have no way of getting there. So I have a week to get the rest of the money to get a decent but very cheap(cheapest I could find) car. So I figured I would ask here. I know the community on LinusTech is amazing and why not try. You could take out a small loan from a bank. That's what did when I was about your age.

To take out a loan I would need a cosigner. That I don't have, and there's a bus service for my state but it only runs through major cities and not where this job is.

even if you were linus , slick or even barack obama asking for money i wouldnt give ya just make your own money for your own car or loan from someone don't beg from people (before going nuts on this posts i saved every bit for my stuff im still saving for my future expenses)

i agree and im not being rude or mean either but thats how the world works you cant always ask or expect a hand out every time, either you need to take the bus or take a loan or decline the job, another job will come. sometimes ya gotta go through the hard to get the good. again sorry but thats how the world works and i really am not trying to be mean

I guess it kind of is, it's not far from someone asking on a street corner saying 'spare any change'.

 

But ask your friends or family, pay the fuel costs and do it that way, or even ask your parents for the money but asking online to a bunch of strangers isn't on really mate
