OK so, this is long winded and I'm sorry but I'll try to explain everything the best I can!

My plan: swapping from a standard glass right angle desk to an electric standing desk set up. I want to set up a good clean cable management and have a few things planned to purchase to help with the organization. I want to minimize the amount of cables that run up the leg of the desk so I want to use extension cables and hubs for my devices.

My rear PC ports:

4 usb 3.2 Gen 1

2 usb 3.2 Gen 2 (A + C)

My problem: putting my PC on the desk itself to take away the need for extension cables isn't too feasible. I got a full tower thinking I needed the extra air flow so it's HUGE.

I can't seem to be able to find gen2 extension cables to attach to gen2 hubs so I can maintain my ability to take advantage of those speeds if I really need..

What I need help looking for:

USB 3.2 Gen 2 type A extension cables (preferably 6ft)and hubs?

Or maybe...

A pc case with good cooling, supports up to 4 HDDs/SSDs, has 4 usb 3.2 Gen.1 & 1 usb C-type 3.2 Gen 2x2 in the front (my motherboard is z690 phantom Gaming 4/D5), and preferably good dust filtering.

If anyone can help with this or have any solid suggestions, please let me know!

Sorry you have been bumping. For those requirements of a case there may be other cheaper options but I found the Cooler Master HAF 700 to have these. Please also note this is a very large case.

For cables I mostly found ones maxing out at 5ft from Fasgear and MyCableConnection for a type a to type c into a hub.

For hubs I found UGREEN and Yottamaster. Yottamaster has a detachable type c connection and I believe it is powered but there are not many reviews. I do have one but don't do much data transfer on it. Many other hubs including UGREEN seem to have a cable always attached. Potentially a thunderbolt dock might work in your instance instead.

Ooo thank you for input! Yeah I guess what I need really hasn't been in much demand to make x.x I also hear of they did make extension cables and hubs that did full Gen 2 it'd be super expensive. A thunderbolt dock you said? I'll look into all these options, thanks so much!

Actually, is putting my huge tower pc ontop of the electric standing desk a good idea? Or should I keep it on the floor? I definitely want to make my cable management neater and I already have a plan for when it's on the floor but is there like a usual strategy for cable management with the pc on the standing desk?

This is a bump, Im sorry >.< But this is how I imagine both set ups would roughly be like. I wondered what would ultimately be neater and/or just generally better for any given reason. Remember the main desk is going to be a standup desk, so its gonna need to be able to raise up higher than that
