Hey guys-

Forgive me if this is not the right place to post this question but I'm new here. I posted the other day about possible upgrades and/or a new PC build for my situation and after some thought I think I'm going to go with a build that @PC HEROES suggested (thanks for the help!). That being said, there's still the question of my existing PC. The parts in here are fairly solid but some are not up to spec for what I'm trying to do (plug-in intensive audio production/music composition, eventual 4k gaming with RT on, audio implementation/game design in UE5). My question is this- I can obviously part out my old PC and sell some of this stuff at the component-level, but the machine may be good enough to sell whole to a gamer or someone with different needs than mine, so I'd like to attempt that before I break it all down and sell it piece by piece. Below is the specs. I was thinking maybe $1200-1400 is a fair market value for what's in here. Am I over-shooting or under-shooting the worth of the machine as a whole?

AMD Ryzen™ 9 3900X 3.80GHz 12-Core

X570 Taichi

64GB Trident RGB DDR4-3600 (4x16)

MSI Ventus 3X Triple Fan NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070ti 12GB

1TB Seagate Firecuda 510 NVMe M.2 SSD

1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD

1TB Samsung SSD 980 NVMe M.2 SSD

CLX Quench 240 Closed Liquid Cooler I ripped out of a previous case

3TB 3.5in Seagate Barracuda HDD

InWin 303 Mid Tower White

4x GAMDIAS AEOLUS RGB Fan

MSI MPGA 1000-watt MSI Power Supply

ASUS XG-C100C 10G Network Adapter PCI-E x4 Card

Windows 11 Home

Any help or guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm sorry to say that PC Parts don't really hold much value. CPUs & GPUs do a bit but everything else not really. If you wanted to sell it as a whole I wouldn't try to sell it for more than $1,000.

1. The CPU usually sells for around $200

2. GPU between $500-$650

3. ASUS XG-C100C 10G Network Adapter $50-$70

4. RAM $50-$60

5. PSU $60-$100

6. Motherboard $100-$180

The rest is just stuff that no one buys used like the Storage, CPU Cooler, & RGB Fans. The Storage Drives most people don't buy them used because they have no idea how much Write Time/Amount is left on them. With SSDs it's a gamble because they all have a set amount of Writing they can do. If the AIO Cooler was close to new then you might be able to sell it but I have never heard of that brand and if it is over a year old then it probably might not last too much longer anyway. This is why Air Coolers are so popular, they just about run forever unless the Fans die and if that happens then you just replace the Fans. The extra RGB Fans that you have are really common and not worth anything used. The PC Case is a big issue. 90% of the PC users today want a Case that has really good Airflow which means it has a Full Mesh Front & Top Panels.

I really hope you can part out the old PC and get some money for the parts. I wish you good luck. If you need anymore help please contact me on Discord.
