Mouse wire

Can someone help me identify the cables here? Idk which is which and im planning to swap it with a premade bungee cable so it feels lighter.

My guess is this is standard USB pinout

My guess is that the black or brown is for shielding. Best thing to do would be tear apart the cable and trace the cables. 

Do you have a multimeter? it should have a continuity mode which will allow you to trace wire to pin

unfortunately i do not have a multimeter but i can tear apart the cable.

Looks like the black wire is the one used for shielding since its the only one exposed inside the wire

So, do you have outstanding questions? Or is this enough info?

I assume you are planning on depinning the header and rewiring?

that should be it, i only plan on buying a premade wire and if i need to rewire it it should be relatively easy
