First PC, First post

Vivaticas

First PC build! Built Q2 2023, upgraded Q1 2024 (RAM & GPU)

few months of part time minimum wage work, but definitely worth it. It can run Crysis (maybe). I went for minimal RGB and full black components, I think it turned out great.

CPU: Intel Core i5-13600K
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MASTERLIQUID ML240L RGB V2
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 GAMING X AX
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 64 GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR5-5600 CL36 (2 kits that don't exactly match 😄)
Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280, Samsung 870 QVO 8 TB 2.5" (got a great discount, 30-40%)
Graphics Card: Asus ProArt OC GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB Video Card (discounted US$100+)
Case: Fractal Design Pop Air ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Fractal Design Ion+ 2 Platinum 760W 80+ Platinum
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
Floppy Disk Drive: Sony MPF 920-Z (3.5" floppy disk drive)

Ideally the CPU should be a bit better to match the 4080, but for gaming it works great.

All Noctua fans. Now I can hear a bubble in the AiO so I don't know if it was worth it.

Computer internals

Sony MPF 920-Z Floppy disk drive, best part of the PC by far. Still waiting on a 34pin to USB adapter, so for now it's an expensive fidget toy.

Next Upgrade: RTX 4080 --> Arc A770

Kidding... if anyone wants to buy an A770, it was limited edition so I'm expecting no less than US$69,420   >:D

The A770 16gb is a surprisingly great card, runs most games perfectly at 60fps high settings. Hit or miss with console ports though, won't run Spider-man Remastered or Detroit Become Human. Ran STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor better than a 4090 before the game was fixed.

Overall: weird card. great at the games it runs.
