Budget (including currency):  $1500

Country: U.S

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:  AAA titles

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Im looking to play majority of  games at 1440p 144hz with a little 4k, but I can't decide between the rx7800 tx and the rtx 4070 super. I see that the 4070 super is around a $100 price increase and don't know if its worth it. I also don't even know if I should just wait to see if any price cuts happen.  Any help would be appreciated on if I should wait or just buy one of the two.

I would go with the 4070 super since it's got more things like ray tracing, dlss, dlaa and slightly better performance. I feel like it's not worth 100 dollars more but it's still more worth it than the 7800xt.

500$ gpu is pretty weak for a 1500$ budget unless you are maxing out cpu ram and storage

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dj2kmD

7600 + 4070tis + 32gb 6000c30

Can still be improved cause you can get a 7800x3d bundle from microcenter which is the same price as this cpu + mobo + ram combo but you get a 7800x3d instead of a 7600

Or you could get the 7700x combo at 100$ less and get a 7900xtx instead of a 4070tis

Go with this instead, much better cooler for like a dollar extra, but yes, I went for 7800X3D and 7800xt, i am very glad i did so, but im running 1440p 170Hz and the majority of the time im GPU limited as i like to play on ultra settings, so having a 7900xt would make up for that, but i bought all the stuff while it was on sale (BF) and i have what i have now, i cant justify spending another 700 quid on a new gpu when i have such a good one already and im happy with what i have, i think id be happier with a 7900xt, but i quite simply didnt have the money at the time
