Cpu cooler sag???

Is cpu cooler sag a bad thing? All the screws are tightened, idk why or how this even happened.

Check that the mounting bracket or backplate is properly installed and secured as if it's loose it can contribute to sag

This can happen with budget boards (less layers) and chonky boi coolers.

Gravity is the issue here but double check all the motherboard screws are full seated also.

I would suggest that you:

  1. measure the distance from the bottom of the cooler to the surface below both at the mobo end and the other end; and/or
  2. use a level to see if it is truly sagging by using the level on the top of your case and the top of the cooler. If they show identical results, then your cooler's not sagging.

If there's sag, you should use something to prop it up. You can waste a lot of money on a tool, or just make something out of wood, plastic, metal, whatever. Heck, even an action figure (like Groot or the Hulk or Plastic Man or whatever).

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 馃槈 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

It wasn't sagging, the metal where the motherboard is mounted is bending cus of the heft, getting a gpu support will prob help
