Quickbooks Server Recommendations??

Good afternoon LTT Community, I come to you looking for some guidance

I'm looking into purchasing a server for my medium / small business in order to act as our Quickbooks Desktop hosting server and be able to access it anywhere, I'd like a server to be able to handle at least 30 simultaneous RemoteApp users running Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise as well as 10 users on the local network. I'm familiar with running shared access on a local network from a regular pc, but deploying this kind of solution is completely foreign to me and I don't know where to start, specially when it comes to the equipment since I want the operations to run as smoothly and reliably as possible. Budget is not a limitation but I'd want something that could suffice my current demands and with upgrade options for the future.

Looking forward to the replies,

Thanks!!

Do they have company supplied machines (e.g laptops)? Have you considered it being a locally installed application?

It would save you a lot of overhead of the VDI's for all those desktop instances and be a better end user experience.

Then host a Windows Server 2019 server for the Database on cloud such as AWS.

Less complexity without having to support a remote service.

Lower Capex/Opex to the company.

Probably a better availability.

And you don't have to manage backups..just backup the server which can be handled by the Cloud provider.

I think that's exactly what I wanna achieve! Have the quickbooks application installed locally in our in-house server where it could be accessed by our local users through LAN and at the same time accessed by remote users. Both sets of users need to be accessing the same database / company file which will be stored in the server. Although I'm not sure if I'm on the right path and if it's even possible lol. In the end the idea is to host multiple companies on one HQ and have employees remotely access from their respective workstation from each of the companies locations, as well as having the option to access locally.

What i'm saying though, is there a need to why this application is being installed on servers rather than the users have it on their laptop? Since it seems every user has their own instance.

And im saying if you only had the database server and used Cloud then you wouldn't need any physical server on premise.

Oohh I understand what you mean now, unfortunately quickbooks desktop requires the program to be installed on the computer hosting the database in order to allow multi-user access, and it can only be installed on windows. So I believe my options are either self hosting a windows server or hosting through a third party which we don't really want due to limitations.
