Ya'll I'm stumped. Never had an issue neither I nor google could solve. Windows Driver Foundation is a service that keeps running and after restarting slowly builds up in resources it takes up. Does anyone know what I can do? Zero updates possible a legit restart was done and all I can find on the web for fixes is high cpu usage.

You can try, updating windows, running the system maintenance troubleshooter, can be found in control center, troubleshooting, view all, then select it. You can also perform a clean boot to see if any third party service is causing unusually high CPU usage. You can do this by pressing windows key+r and that will open windows run, in the text box type “msconfig” then hit enter, after that you will be taken to a new window go to the services tab, check the box that says “hide all Microsoft services” then click “disable all” then open task manager, control+shift+escape. Disable startup apps one by one to see if the issue is resolved or not. Also try restarting and or updating your WiFi drivers, because that can sometimes cause unrelated issues.

If all else fails, then you can try disabling windows driver foundation service. You can do this by pressing windows key + R to open windows run again. Then in the box type “services.msc” then hit enter. Find the windows driver foundation service then double click, change the startup type to disabled then click apply then restart your PC.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Maybe Restart it?

Take everything I say with a grain of salt. I could be just about wrong as I am right.
