So, my M.2 somehow not detected. This issue occur out of nowhere. Here are the scenario regarding the issue than happen:

1. I boot up pc

2. Logged into windows

3. PC black screen then it restart automatically (out of nowhere)

4. When PC boot up it keep going to BIOS because it can't detect my M.2 NVME for windows

Anyone know what is the most probable cause? Is it because of the mobo m.2 socket faulty or M.2? I am still speculating, I personally can't test which is one the cause becuase I don't have multiple ssd/mobo to test it out. I need to fix it ASAP because it is also my workstation

note:This issue happened 2 times. For the first time somehow the issue got fixed by itself and M.2 was detected. But not for the second one

Sounds like a faulty M.2 SSD to me, only way to test it would be to try it in another system or get a new M.2 SSD to try.

Hopefully it is the NVME. Also, I've tried CMOS baterry reset method (recommendation from forum post) and it does nothing NVME still not detected. Does the probability of M.2 faulty even higher?

If an M.2 is not even detected in bios it is either the M.2 itself or the slot, the M.2 itself is more likely to fail than the slot. With your prior issue of it happening once before that would push me towards the M.2 itself as well. Again, the only way to test for it would be to try your M.2 SSD in a separate system or get a new M.2 SSD to test in your system.
