What kind of budget? Mousepads go from literally big sheets of cloth which are under $10 to glass pads which cost ten times that

Pretty much nothing for 65$ and size wise just like around 18x16

Pulsar ES2 in extra large, 3mm option.

Around $45-50, 19x16.5

Proper mousepad meant for proper mice. That would be my first choice for a larger, notably thin cloth pad.

They serve different roles imo, glass skates are an easy addition to a mouse to use existing mouse pads or keep with the benefits of cloth mouse pads while having most of the low friction qualities that a glass pad with ptfe skates can offer.

Cloth pads are just a bit more comfortable, more forgiving with dust.

I have the superglide pad and it’s very nice, it’ll theoretically last forever. But it’s not perfect, it’s loud if so much as a mote of dust gets under a skate, and it genuinely wears down ptfe skates over time.
So while the friction stays effectively the same, forever, and it’s easier to clean. It’s a less “user friendly” experience being loud, cold, hard and difficult to move.

kinda comes down to your preference on the product qualities, high end cloth pads with glass skates are very good, though with the same faults as any cloth pad

glass pads and ptfe skates are objectively faster and more consistent, just not as comfortable
